Elk Grove Village is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Elk Grove Village follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. When you go in you are supposed to take a number. Doesn't really tell you even if it is not the busy. The number that they are on is displayed basically on the ceiling. I am not sure why it is so high up and out of the way instead of a clear location. I bought an Dreamsicle Cupcake, Key Lime bar, and some other cupcake. Dreamsicle Cupcake was lightly flavored and not filled. The cupcake was orange flavored and the icing might have been too but not really sure. Not a strong flavor and that seems to be the theme. The key lime bar was not that great, very light flavor and not tart in anyway.

I want to start off by saying the cake was good, however I am dissatisfied with some things about the cake preparation. I purchased a 1/2 sheet cake for my son's graduation. I decided to take my business back to Jarosch Bakery, because they did a great job last year when I ordered a birthday cake from there. Well, I was disappointed the 2nd time around... I feel whoever baked this cake didn't take care about the quality of it or maybe they're in training... It was supposed to be a layer of yellow cake at the top and a layer of red velvet cake at the bottom. Well..the red velvet cake was about a 0.25 inches of a layer instead a whole layer, the yellow cake tasted old. The yellow cake was not moist like it usually is and one of the images which was supposed to be a maroon color was printed pritnted in black... The picture image color was also not correct. Customers should be able to get the same type of service from businesses every time they shop there. I was expecting the same Excellent service we got last year. Update on 06/16/26: I'm proud to say I spoke with a manager about my concerns. She assisted me so graciously and was emphatic about my experience. I changed my review fro

I purchased European unseeded rye bread shown in the picture. It is more like white bread than rye bread. It is good, but it is not rye bread. The chocolate chip cookies have changed since the new ownership and move to the new location. The chocolate chip cookies were crispy and delicious for many, many years. These new ones are soft and taste OK but they are different enough that we can only deduce that the recipe has been changed. The new owner, Ideal Bakery, insists that they not changing recipes but the traditional Jarosch seeded rye bread was not available for purchase and appears that they may no longer be making it. I purchased a cupcake, which is good however it seems to be a little bit smaller with less frosting than in the past years (I noticed this before the move but after the sale to Ideal Bakery). Iβm grateful this bakery still exists, but I am disappointed with the new ownership and miss the original Jarosch family who owned and operated this bakery for so many years. The true Jarosch family took such good care of us here in Elk Grove and they are missed a lot by many many people. The atmosphere was much more cozy in the original location. The new location has colde

This bakery shop has been opened for a very long time. This is a new location. Itβs not far from the previous location but the interior is much more modern. So, it attracts more people. Itβs quite busy. You have to pick up the number outside the shop before ordering inside. There are variety filling and topping of donuts and cookies. We got custard, chocolate custard, blueberry and raspberry cream donuts. They are all good and not too sweet.

I love this small business. The employees are hard working, and the food is always delicious! The seasonal cream cake is a personal fave! I love the smell of the baked goods when you walk in. The new owners haven't changed the Jarosch tradition! Kudos to them! I have used them for work events and for personal events, and everyone ALWAYS asks where the pastry or cake came from!
